Just so you know. Good things happen here. I am in love with Portland. Contrary to the post that I wrote about an hour ago. I do love her. I love her streets and her buildings and her concerts and her cemeteries and her lights and her food and her coffee shops and her people and her churches and her.
I'm in Love with a City....
I'm in Love with a City....
Rockin' concert at the Doug Fir. That's Sondre Lerche and his opening act Slyvie. He was one of the funniest and talented musicians I've heard in a long time. Way to go Joann for finding that little piece of gold!!
Another Joann discovery... Movies in the park! They really tried to get Harry Potter on that screen. But the wind was just not havin' it. So! Onto the next event! Which happened to be shuffleboard... Only I don't have any pictures. However, it was super fun and Ryan was a great teacher!
Ok. So. You may think it weird. But I spend time in Cemeteries. And ok. It may be weird that I do, at times, enjoy the dead over the living. The quietness of things over the noise of the city. But, this is one of the only places that I can go, that doesn't distract me from the Presence of Jesus and well, has free parking. It's also a very fun place to photograph.

Butt trees...haha...so funny...I'm laughing.
Bwahaha! I love the butt tree! (and I love that right after your brilliant picture of the leaf, you said, "now i LEAVE..." Well done.)
I love the Butt Tree TOO!
Poor butt tree. It was probably in the cemetery hiding out from photographers of the likes of you! Oh well. Anyhow, go to Bybee St and go to the Portland Memorial. It's a moratorium, it's 7 stories, five beneath ground in front, but facing the river out of the side of a huge cliff on the back and it's quiet. The rooms are in order of the decades people passed. The earlier the prettier, although, there's something to be said for shag carpet and avocado furnishings in the 60's and 70's room. Can't wait to go with you! Lob you!
I love the butt tree!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!
